Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 September 2026
News24x7.co.za ("we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to meet the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
What we collect
We do not ask you to register, and we do not collect names, email addresses or phone numbers unless you email us directly.
Our server keeps standard web logs β IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time β for security and troubleshooting. These are deleted automatically.
We store a count of how many times each headline has been clicked. That count is not linked to you.
Cookies
We set one cookie of our own: a theme preference that remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. It contains no personal data and is stored in your browser only.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve advertising based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads, and manage third-party cookies at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
Analytics
Where Google Analytics is enabled we use it in aggregate to understand which sections are read. IP anonymisation is on.
Links to other sites
Most links on News24x7 take you to another newsroom's website. Once you leave, that publisher's privacy policy applies, not ours.
Your rights under POPIA
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its processing. Email info@news24x7.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at enquiries@inforegulator.org.za.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new date at the top.
